This Victorian Peloton glass rose bowl is made from two layers of cased glass, clear over mauve - pink, with a ribbed pattern & applied Peloton threads in pink, blue, yellow, & white. It measures 7.5 cm tall, 4.5 cm across the crimped, pushed in top rim, & 5 cm across the base, which has a rough snapped pontil mark.

I'm tuned in :) you have such a wonderful, & large, collection. I've never seen so much Peloton. How do you find it? I've never seen any in all the sales and antique shops I trawl around & have only ever seen one on eBay
I've been very fortunate with my finds - this collection was put together over 20 years, with pieces sourced from many places, & epsecially through establishing good contacts with dealers. For instance, after purchasing one piece, I asked the seller to let me know if they ever got any more examples - that paid off very well, as they were able to sell me about 10 other pieces. I have also had wonderful assistance from fellow collectors overseas that have found pieces & bought them, with me then paying them back. Even if a dealer doesn't have a particular type of item on display in their shop, they may be able to find it for you eventually. Good relationships are a big part of successful collection - & enjoyable too, to be able to communicate with knowledgable people who are passionate about glass.
