Rare Vintage Paragon Fortune Telling Tea Leaf Reading Cup and Saucer Set. This style of fortune telling tea cups was in fashion during the 1930s. Ladies would gather for teas in the parlor and tell fortunes for amusement using sets such as these.
The set is shell pink. The inside of the cup reads in blue "Many curious things I see when telling fortunes in your tea". The center has numbered signs and omens.
Marked on the base with the Paragon by Appointment Fine China stamp, made in England and numbered.
The saucer measures 5.25" across x 3/4" high. The tea cup measures 3.75" across x 2" high.
Wonderful find, this is a great tea leaves reading set, and the pink & white symbols pattern is so lovely
