I purchased about a month ago from a college kid whom said it belonged to his aunt. We don’t have much information. Looked for some kind of inscription but couldn’t find one. Would love to know time period and possibly where did the piece originated. It definitely has some character and would love to make it a family heirloom. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

In picture #2, on the top of the cabinet, it looks like a gap in the wood behind the raised portion of the trim.
That gap plus the "seam" between the boards comprising the trim makes me think that the trim is not original to the piece.
Take a better picture showing the entire top.

Not sure where the piece came from...couldn’t get any additional information on the piece. Also in reference to the gap...the wood is really worn out. I suspect it’s a really old piece just based on the woods grains but I’m not expert. How can I add additional photos? Some guidance would be appreciated.

The country was the US state of Florida although I was told they originally brought it from northern parts of the US
