THIS IS THE BEST THING I'VE FOUND LATELY & I'M LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND IT. FOUND LAST NIGHT IN THE THRIFT SHP I USUALLY STOP BY AFTER WORK. FROM WHAT I'VE GOOGLED, IT WAS A PROTEST PIECE MADE IN THE LATE 60'S DUE TO THE DENIAL OF EMIGRATION OUT OF THE USSR FOR MANY JEWS DURING THE COLD WAR.

THANKS, THRIFTFAN! TO BE HONEST, THAT'S WHERE I FOUND MY INFO. BEING JEWISH WITH GRANDPARENTS WHO EMIGRATED FROM USSR TO LONDON DURING THE 20'S, MAKES ME LOVE THIS ALL THE MORE!
At that time the USSR was trying to keep Israel from growing stronger while at the same time trying to stop the "brain drain" from the Soviet Union. A very historic item.
Thanks, Militarist, I agree!
