Two Cycle Lawnmowers - Lawn Boy and Toro
I love tearing into small engines as a hobby (and make some extra cash in my retirement)
I especially like the old two cycle engines as you get power on every stroke. I like that :)
They no longer make two cycle lawnmowers due to laws passed for environmental reasons.
I say a well tuned two cycle is better than a poorly maintained four cycle engines for emissions.
I require a two cycle for my steep hills in my yard as I literally live on a bluff. I keep picking up these two cycle mowers and refurbishing them. I find myself working on my friends and neighbors' mowers as I can't tolerate the sound of small engines struggling to perform work.
The two cycle Toros are rather difficult to find and harder to find parts. They are one powerful mower though.

Thanks Much for Looking at my post!

My dad had a walk behind American made Toro push mower. It lasted 17 years before finally giving out. That was a great mower, much better than the ones coming out of China today!

Thank You DejaVu2 for the comment and appreciation.
17 years is a respectful amount of time for operability of a mower.

Thank You elanski for the "looking great" comment. I appreciate it

That sounds like a fun career you had to work on lawn equipment and get paid for it :) It's one of my favorite retirement hobbies.
Snappers are a durable mower with the long proven Briggs & Stratton engine. A friend of mine has a 1980s Snapper. With proper maintenance.... they just keep working year after year!
