Gorgeous.....I recently spent 2 weeks in New Zealand and the first thing I saw when I stepped off the boat was a little penguin doing back stroke next to the dock....so cute....I love this is a penguin and I really love that's its from New Zealand!!!
Its almost like a mother with her adorable offspring that we cannot see. This unusual pose seems to pay off fine !~

DejaVu, this is the first glass penguin I have in this natural bending pose, I was so psyched to get it - and that color is so great, although pink it reminds me of trickling down water
Leesa, how wonderful for you visiting New Zealand and seeing a real penguin doing a backstroke that's awesome. This Hokitika glass co was a great find for me with their glass animals, they do alot of different penguins & also beautiful colorful fish, have another Hokitika in great colors coming soon

Very cute little penguin! I can't decide if she's a really plump baby penguin or a mother penguin with her chick on her feet? I think it's the head bent pose is a really nice and unusual one. I think she's a mother penguin and she's protecting her chick on her feet and that's why her head is bent like that over it.

Huh, interesting --- Did they ever use the penguin figure as a mark I wonder? I think I have a glass mushroom here with what looks like a penguin or kiwi anima; as a mark ........
Hey Rose I'm happy you liked this NZ glass penguin, remember we both are pink lovers :) Actually I do not recall a penguin symbol on a label but there must be...I'm always exploring new animal glass co's so if I find one I'll let you know
