I've had some of these for a long time. The tall vase I bought first having seen that rim crimp on a Welz vase earlier but never saw another to verify my vase. The squat vase has been known to be a Welz shape for some time. The small vases were a tip off from someone on the other side of the world, thank you Penny. But today I posted them all in a Facebook Victorian Glass Group and Craig Orkney identified them one by one with supporting images. I am a fortunate person.
So soft! Thanks.
Fantastic collection of Welz Burmese!
The tall vase with the swirled form & scissor cut top is something special indeed, that is a super shape & the Burmese decor makes it truly out of this world!
As another lucky human with a few Welz Burmese items, all I can say is well done - they are hard to come by & thus extra satisfying to find.
Thank you, Deano. Just shows what colour and texture can do.
When Craig ID'd them he mentioned that the rim crimp is little seen. You are so right that Welz Burmese is a small pond to fish in. You are fortunate that you bought many so early in your collecting career, though I don't begrudge that you have them at all. :)
