These are two of the few American glass pieces I've got and I'm guessing all American vintage lovers will know it.
It is an Iced Tea server made for Frigidaire in the 1930s or 1940s. They were given as bonus presents for those buying a fridge. Appart from this one there is a series of items made (at least an ice bucket) for the same fridge company.

When I was living in Tallahassee, Fl. back in 2001 I found one of these -with no stopper- in our trashy trashy shed. We had to clean it as we were putting our washing machine and dryer there and appart from the mummy of a squirrel, I found this nice jug which after being washed made a perfect everyday jug. Of course living in the Deep South we became adicted to (sweet) iced tea :)
When my partner moved to Miami I was in Spain so he sold much of our stuff, this jug amongst it. I got mad at him when he told me! When I came back to Spain I searched for this one online and got it as soon as found it.

Well, I thought it was squirrel, it could also be a huge rat... :/
Great story! I hate it when partners start getting rid of things...
