I got this teapot and lock in Morocco, after taking Ford trucks (two) across desert, They had sand mats on the side, steel plates they would carry from back to front when crossing a sand dune. There were 11 on top of one truck and seven on the other. They drove day and night, it was cool at night and hot during the day. The sky was beautiful at night, very clear, three young English girls had a stereo and played Neil Young and James Taylor! They fed us twice a day in big pan! (see photo), Tomato and little meat, maybe goat or camel, with bread. We ended up at Tan Tan. I crossed Morocco, Algeria, and Tunis, Libya would not let me in so I caught a boat to Sicily, and then to Italy. That is me in 2nd photo, I was 22. I do not know how old the lock or pot is.
