Another Frog!!! Great!! It is not one of those Amazon poison frogs I hope!! His eyes look like he is begging for food like a dog!! Cute! If made from sewer tile, there may be frog bones inside! haha You like Ecuador also! I have some hats from Otavalo! You love Oakland! I went to Castro Valley High School! Bishop O' Dowd beat us bad in basketball in 66-67! Are you about my age? 63? Don

hi toracat. i turn 50 in 2 wks. i spent quite a bit of time around otavalo. what a fascinating town that is - it's the native capitol of ecuador and they even have their own international airport - completely owned and run by indigenous people who are very tied to their languages/customs/traditions. i don't know of anywhere else in the americas where indigenous people are truly in charge politically and financially. i'll never forget when i was invited to stay w/ this family by their two daughters. they wore all traditional clothes all the time and i expected to see a traditional home - w/ 6' ceilings and cave-like rooms as well. was i ever surprised when i arrived and took the elevator up 5 floors in their enormous home which was a glass pyramid on top of a mountain overlooking quito - no kidding.
