inky, you know I used to say that too.....when I win the lotto I will do this and that....
Well, I have now gone beyond that phase of wishing and tomorrow is never promised!! So I take everyday as the last and if I see something that I truly feel wanting or something lacking in my life "CARPE-DIEM" seize the moment and seize the day! I paid $750 for this watch at a pawn shop. Even though it was a lot at that time I knew the manager and he actually called me to say they got one in..and so I got there an they had already put it on layaway for another buyer! I was sad..but 4 weeks later it came out of layaway and they called me again! Then I bought it knowing it was meant to be!!....I knew I was worth it! I am a single mother of 2 and $230 mo. for both girls in child support :0 If you ever wanted something in life, it will always find a way of coming into your life...always!
I agree with you 100% Moonstonelover - life is short and if you always wait for tomorrow then sometimes tomorrow does not come. For me I recovered from an acute life-threatening illness in 2004 and retired from my 18h/d CEO job and put my priorities on living every day like there will be no tomorrow. I am much happier now!
antiquarius123, OMG I know exactly how you feel!! I was born with a huge hole in my heart and had to have the first infant open heart surgery in Japan in 1967. The Doctors were fresh out of Columbia University Medical field and I was so small they had to wait until I was 7 months old. I was in the incubator for most of the time. Then after that I was fragile until we moved to Hong Kong and I almost died of Asthma 3 times while living there. When we moved to America and landed in California....I went into the Equestrian field and did Polo for 8 years them Jumpers and Dressage! Needless to say that was not a very safe occupation...but it showed me strength and stamina. I was into the horses for almost 30 years(bucked off, trampled, stepped on,kicked, bit and smushed). I now live my life one day at a time...and I buy with the thought that no one is going to buy it for me. So I please myself and love to make others happy with selling them a unique and Antique piece on the other sites :))
We have alot in common moonstonelover! The challenges in our lives mold our perspectives...
