I'm reposting this chair now that it has been restored because it is basically a new chair! It looks so much better but I still have no clue who the designer is. I know nothing about it. Any ideas?

That's a big help! Looks Exactly like the Allen Gould Compass chair! Thanks Eye4Beauty! That first one that you posted that had been painted makes me a little sick.... :(

Dang Eye, as soon as you threw out "compass chair" I knew that was it. Couldn't drag it from the depths of my brain.

Thanks! It was definitely a wreck when I first found it. Knew it was worth saving though. :)

nice, just saw this ~ I have an almost identical version I'll have to post. It was painted green, with no seat cover, and I just sanded it down to the raw wood. Great to know about the Allen Gould connection.
