THESE ARE 4INCH X 5INCH IN SIZE. IN THE LOWER LEFT OF THE BLUE BORDER UNDER THE MULE IS 31 IPEU EMLEM. I FOUND 11 OF THESE IN A BOX AT AN ESTATE SALE. ANY VALUE? THANKS CHRIS

The Jefferson City New Day Press was in Missouri but shut down when the owner died in the 1930s.
1931 is when the dem took over the house of reps
The mascot is actually a donkey :P
When Andrew Jackson ran in 1928, his opponents called him a jackass, and instead of fighting it, he used it, and started using an image of a donkey on his political items, saying it represented being strong and stubborn. It stuck and the dems have used it since. I personally don't know why someone would want to use an elephant :P
