My Chef Coat Autographed By "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky ~2001

Back in 2001 I was doing a cooking stint as a Saucier at the world famous restaurant Picasso's in the Bellagio here in Las Vegas. As I was just doing my job sauce making or something else the kitchen, who do I run into making his way to Executive Chef Julian Serrano's office. The Greatest hockey player to play the game & one of my childhood heros. "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky! I am not a star struck kind of guy in the least bit, if not at all. But Wayne Gretzky is every reason to make an exception for. I had a Sharpie but hurried for a piece of paper or a menu so I could have him autograph it, then Wayne chuckled and said he never autographed a Chef's coat before, so this was his first and maybe the only one. Many people have asked me about the huge stain on the front, I was making a huge batch of Demi Glace over a huge kettle in the kitchen for the restaurant when I saw him, so I had to move quick! =^'
