Chinese Clay Foo Dog Figurine

This is a Chinese clay Foo Dog (or Foo Lion) figurine purchased in 1995 near Guangdong, People's Republic of China. - It is made of red clay with some brown painted areas to depict hair on the back, end of tail, eyelashes, and around mouth, and is detailed with polished white stones used for the teeth, nails on the feet, and the eyes (part of the eyes are painted black). The mouth even includes a tongue (black) inside. - It is 5" long and stands 3 3/4" tall.
