I recently added this iconic art deco coffee set to my collection. It was designed by Walter Von Nessen for the Chase Brass and Copper Company, circa 1930's. It's rarely seen in copper and more often in chrome. The copper pieces are accented with black bakelite, including the tray which has a bakelite interior. Supposedly, Von Nessen enjoyed the way the light and shadows played off of the streamlined angles of this set.
Wait until Tom sees this!
Real Nice -- I seen one like described as a Hot Choc Set because the handle was on the side not like a coffee pot. So I do not know IF that makes a difference .
