On the dial: "Made by the Sessions Clock Co., Forestville, Conn. USA"
    11" x 18" x 5 3/4"
Lion heads on the sides, each holding a metal ring in its mouth. Delicate geometric lines decorating the black enamel around the face and between the front legs. No other marks or dates, so the age is a bit of a mystery. Have seen a few similar models from the 1920's, but with larger classical columns rather than gothic arches.
Strikes the appropriate hour with a deep soft "gong", and a single chime on the half-hour.

Thanks for the note, I'm glad you like it. I bought it from a clock repair shop in 2001, so I know nothing about its history, age, or how many were made. I'm hoping one of our clock experts might know something about it.

It seems you've posted this same clock twice. You have a Sessions "Manhattan" from circa 1921. The hands are probably not original and in any case the hour hand looks to have been damaged. Other than that it's a nice example. Here's another example I found on the web: http://www.discoverclocks.com/e-n-welch-sessions-clock.html
Thanks for sharing yours with us.

Many thanks for the information. I think you're right about the hands: I couldn't find any other Sessions clock online with that exact style. A reflection obscured the tip of the hour hand on the main photo, so I have uploaded a close-up.
