This before and after set of pix shows a great MALCO sign just as it was found in Las Cruces NM and then how it cleaned up before we stood it up at aaaLakeside Storage in Provo Ut. Malco was a very small Oil Co in NM in the 30s and a young guy with a dream convinced the US Govt he could increase the octane of the gas for aircraft fuel and got a contract. MALCO soon become the biggest Oil Co in NM and stayed that way in the 40s-50s and finally sold out to ATLANTIC Oil. Big Fish eat the little fish! The MALCO Porcelain Signs are pretty rare and this one still has the NM logo on the top. It had been painted over when we found it, but the paint came off with paint remover and didn't hurt the porcelain. America is a place where dreams can become realities and often do. The Malco dream was one of them!
Any relation to the Malco Gasser?
