Going through more of Nannas stuff....Was this used to put a scented oil or potpourri in? I don't remember ever seeing it in her house, but because of the holes I assume a scent is meant to come out from it. It is heavy...possibly bronze??? No markings on it that I can find. Any info???

It would strike me as unusual for bronze to be used for potpourri. Are you sure it isn't an incense burner?

I don't know what it is or was used for. I believe the cotton was added more recently by my daughter who put some perfume on it.

The cotton was an obvious recent addition. Potpourri doesn't keep well in metal, better in wood like cedar. just my 2 cents but maybe something to research as you have time.
