Bjørn Wiinblad designed at least two lamps and a lot of porcelain for Rosenthal.
The lamp was produced in the beginning of the 1970's and all parts are original
I bought the on a fleamarket during the summer of 2014 - not knowing who designed it - I just had to own it because it is so beautiful.
Bjørn Wiinblad (1918-2006) was a loner in Danish art and in all areas with a humourous, colorful craftsman. Bjørn Wiinblad's motto was "give people joy." This is reflected in his often luxurious and oriental inspired style with many colors, a close decoration with flowers, birds, flourishes and plump figures.
Bjorn Wiinblad went his own way and differed very much from the individual and stylish Scandinavian design.
