Purchased in a thrift shop in Alsia Craig, Ont.,Canada
Probably not vintage but has an intriguing design on it.
Wonder what country it's from. And is it really a toothpick holder, even though it can be used as such.

it might be a bonboniere. looks french or italian to me.
