The vase is 24 inches high with 8"-9" @ the widest point a 6 1/2 inch opening at the top. & a 6 inch base measurement.

There is only one symbol or mark on the bottom.

Any ideas on this vase and the makers mark would be greatly appreciated. Is it a letter or a word or a time period?

It looks to be Satsuma style with Geisha

Looks Japanese but might be from another ceramic country like Vietnam or Korea.

The character underneath is Wa in Japanese, Hoà in Vietnamese & Hwa in Korean.

Here's a piece with a comparable size and shape. I can't zoom in enough on either to know if the design and detail level are similar but you might be able to tell, with one of them in hand. There's also no picture of the base on the link I added so it's hard to know if they match. The character 'wa' could be a signature or maybe a title of the piece (something like harmony or unity).
