Painted tile by Joel Thayer - framed

i know nothing about this, but got it from a friend who found it in the trash. it's a framed, painted tile by Joel Thayer. the gold color was painted as a background and it was painted and then scraped off where you see the gold. unfortunately, i think that those ugly incongruous lines in the middle are just scratches and not part of the piece.
