Can someone please help I inherited this from my grandmother and know nothing about it, it has a single piece of uneven bulbous cobalt blue glass on the in side with a surrounding of either brass or bronze consisting of four pillars and what looks like a Celtic cross underneath any information would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance for your help

What is the beautiful wood carving (table?) the vase is sitting on!
I bought it as a antique traveling sales man table it as eight panels as a base which all fold together
I love the table deserves a post of it's own ;)
