Great for spring: Yellow carved earrings. I have a feeling that they are Bakelite but I am out of the solution to test them. They do "sound" like Bakelite though. However, because of the helpful comments I believe that I was wrong!

    Thanks for looking:)

Never heard of a solution for testing bakelite. Can you give it to me. Thanks

Beautiful.....You can do the hot water test Freiheit. Here's a link that explains it all. If they're celluloid though caution with the hot pin test as that's highly flammable :)

most probably bone 1970 made in Argentina. I used to have something similar....when I was at school. Pretty indeed

Eclecticstop1, the sulution is called Simichrome. I hope I spelled that correctly.
Mikelv85, thanks a lot for the link!
Kivatinitz, this is very interesting. I would have never thought of it. I have to have another good look at it. I assumed that it was plastic because the earrings are very smooth. There are no lines or bumbs.

Many thanks to everyone helping me to figure out what the earrings are. I edited my post.
Also many thanks to everyone who loved the earrings. It's greatly appreciated!
