I tried loading the four photos but the last one hasn't shown up yet. My husband brought this home one day and seeing as he collects decorated stoneware, it did not seem to fit. He was going to get rid of it, but I snagged it. I don't know why, but it seemed interesting, different than the other stoneware. It does not feel like the heavy stoneware, it feels light in comparison. The bottom seems to me that it has been used in camp fires or whatever. I don't know what the black is, maybe paint of a sorts. I will still try to include the fourth photo showing the edge of the broken part. It seems like pottery. About 7 inches high and 4 inches across the mouth.

The fact that it is glazed on the inside, was thrown on a potter's wheel, and has a "pulled" strap handle, means that it is definitely not Native American, since none of those techniques were used by Native American Indians.
