    I got this to yesterday, has a signature though hard for me to make it out.
    Has 4 sides with raised impressions, heavy glazed.

    Does anybody think student piece or studio piece ?

      Try rubbing some Ash over the signature, and post us another pic.....maybe?? that will help??

      antiquerose, I just burnt some paper and made ash, rubbed it on base and here it is the new pic.

      Try to get more darker color ( ash on it ) to help highlight the details better....so more ash on it

      Does the first letter look like an *L * in your opinion??
