    I picked up this little silver piece at the flea market Sunday. It looked to have the signs of the zodiac on it.I tried to photograph the marks on the bottom. I havnt seen one quite like this before.

      Those are UK hallmarks, and old ones at that!

      Lion Passant - means it's silver
      Leopard head - assay mark for London
      Monarch's head - Victoria - which indicates a duty has been paid. This piece is before 1890.
      Date letter "U" looks to be 1875. Victoria was on the throne from 1837 to 1901.

      There are a number of silversmiths during that period with the initals JG, so don't know who that is yet.
