Baby Elephant Savings Bank Belgium Flea Market Find $1.50

This is a BIG baby - 9 1/2 inches high from tip of trunk to toes and more than 22 inches around. Hand painted and made of terracotta. Note the three balloons engraved onto the bib. :-))))

There is still something left of the soft white fuzz originally on the bottom of the bank. This baby looks to be around the age of my big piggy bank, which is from the mid-1980s. The design of the plug is the same. I couldn't find one like this using an Image search. No marks anywhere. The woman I bought it from didn't know too much about it.

Quite a change from the boring, mundane types of banks I always see at the flea markets.
