    I have no idea what this was used for. There is a hole in the top that appears to be lightly threaded. Aproximately 9 and 1/4" tall. Bronze or brass. My gut tells me in is from the Art Deco era. What do you folks think? Thanks so much. Kat

      I'd say it's a lamp base.

      That's what I thought but my partner disagreed with me because we can't figure out where the electrical component would be placed.

      not sure how big it is or wide at base but also could be a screw in candle holder.

      It is 4 and 5/16 across the bottom.
