Hello there, todays challenge... I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a Meissen figurine or another maker? Also do you know who the figurine is of? It looks like he would have been holding a walking cane or baton perhaps at some point. Many thanks!

Looks like an early mark of Porzellanfabrik Wilhelm Rittirsch (1950 until 1974), Bavaria.
Take a look hire (the second from left).

Many factories used crossed swards mark. Your figure is definitively not Meissen.

Hi IVAN49, I have had a good look and researched some more into your suggestion but I think the marks are slightly different, the bottom of the scissor mark goes a different direction, and I also haven't found any with a similar mark to the right (the embossed one) But thank you for your suggestion I do appreciate it, yes it probably isn't Meissen but it would be great to know who made it! Many thanks!

      Hi,
Yes, crossed swards are a bit different from the suggested link. The clue might be the embossed mark if you could decipher the monogram. Let`s keep searching.
      Cheers

Yes I'm sure it is, unfortunately I can't make anything out of it really! I'm sure someone out there will know and will make my day at some point in time haha
