I fear not much information is available on lamps. Along with furniture they are listed by the drive by posters as Unsolved Mysteries. I think every city had a lamp factory and a furniture factory.
Anyway this is one I have not run across before and the price was good so I bought it. It has lovely old cord and it still works like new. Do not see a clear plug like that often. They say you are supposed to replace the old cords but that would seem a shame.
The chain pull on/off is a good sign that of a vintage item.
I've not seen a lamp like this one before - it's great!
This is really nice.....is this what is called a banker's lamp?
