Typical tearjerker of the era, 1910 .....a pitiful tale of a sweet rural girl, trying out on Broadway only to be censored and tricked!! She wishes she never went there--Will her folks take her back??
The song is supposedly written about Broadway, but a few people have pointed out to me---THIS IS DOWNTOWN OMAHA!! Anyone know for sure??? I have wondered for years!
