One of my friends is recovering from open heart surgery and can't drive for another week. On Saturday, I took her to a flea market and a second hand shop that was just a few streets away. She had never been there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just before we left, I took another look in the jewelry cabinet and spotted the earrings. They weren't in there when we arrived.
I've never seen Taxco clip earrings and looked them up to make sure they are genuine. They are. I need to make a teen tiny repair to one of them - think I will "kyratize" it: Black nail lacquer mixed with a tiny bit of superglue and dabbed on with a toothpick should do the trick.

They look wonderful! I looked up "kyratizing" and got no hit :-))) but I take note of that trick.
LOL bijou! A good quality nail enamel is great for small repair jobs. I also keep broken jewelry, just in case of...and now that I think about it, I do have some old alpaca jewelry that has tiny bits of turquoise in it. Maybe, just maybe... :-)))))

bijou, lol, "Kyratizing" is a term specific to this site - but it's not an insider joke. Pne of the members, kyratango, often shares her jewelry repair successes with us, she also generously shares advice, so we came to call her approach kyratization or kyratizing. Check it out on Show and Tell, it's very helpful.
I had a feeling it was a Kyra special. I'm still laughing :-)))) Can't wait for more Kyratizatriks!
