Still in great, working condition, this is a Bolsey B2 35mm Rangefinder camera with "Synchro Matic" shutter, using a fixed Wollensack Anastigmat 44mm f3.2 lens. Manufactured in the U.S. from 1949 to 1956.

Hey, artsentries. From everything I've found online, the B2 was manufactured here in the U.S.

The rear tag of the camera (depth of field calculator) is also marked Bolsey Corp. of America. These were very popular cameras. Years ago, I owned (and later sold) a complete 'New Old Stock' outfit that included the camera, warranty paperwork, accessories, leather case, and original box.

About the company ... Bolsey Corp. of America (NY) ... the cameras were designed in the U.S. by Jacques Bolsey and manufactured by the Obex Corporation of America (Long Island, NY). Bolsey distributed the cameras. After about June 1, 1956, Obex took over distribution.
