This is a pre-Prohibition tiny pocket Eggs Brandy from International Liquor Company of Chicago that I got off e-Bay not long ago.

I can find nothing on that company or the names listed at the bottom, whose trade-marks are on this Eggs Brandy bottle. Names: F. Wagner & Ch. Sack of Th?????? (Illinois?). It's too tiny of print to read smudged.

The address, 1433 Wells Street, Chicago, was a boiler place from at least 1917 into Prohibition.

Therefore, it dates prior to 1917.

    Interesting features:
    Austrian eagle with German shield
As is common on newer tooled tops, the seam is more moved than obliterated
    Purple background
Tiny! (Compared to U.S,-penny sized Austrian Heller and regular Whiskeys.)

I was always hoping to find out on Sack, as it's a less common name than Wagner, especially since another Wagner had a major brewery in Chicago. As such, I cut him off as a lead. The company itself and the brand pulled 0 leads (albeit some people mix brandy and eggs!!!!), and the rest is illegible.
I have a nice Art Noveau light burning my retinas. Who knew a 9-watt bulb with a shade and diffuser could be so bright!
    6. SpiritBear, 7 years ago
But none from Illinois or a city in it that starts with Th.

Might get a better view and can play with the image if you scan it?
I'll dig a bit too. GL
    8. PoliticalPinbacks PoliticalPinbacks, 7 years ago
as even a 9w bulb could blow up in ur hands LOL JK
    9. SpiritBear, 7 years ago
The ink itself on the label is what is smeared.
Well, actually, a lamp I had overheated and caused a bulb to crack. :/

      Side note:
Advocaat or advocatenborrel is a traditional Dutch alcoholic beverage made from eggs, sugar and brandy.[1] The rich and creamy drink has a smooth, custard-like flavor.

      Seems they never existed

      *Chuckles.* That's me.
      Do you drink it?
    12. PoliticalPinbacks PoliticalPinbacks, 7 years ago
YOU can, lol yeah I would try it, I rarely drink any alcohol but do have a egg nog at Christmas so add a little Brandy sure why not
    13. SpiritBear, 7 years ago
Everyone I know drinks. All save for me. LOL.

Surely for the better, I quit (well 99.9%) after my drinking buddy died in the 80s we would sit in a bar any bar but most in rather bad parts of Detroit and have a shot from every bottle the had behind the bar left to right, NO idea how or why we survived that.
I don't miss drinking at all just the friends I buried because of it.
    15. SpiritBear, 7 years ago
      I'm sorry to hear that.
My partner likes to drink a lot. I'm trying to make him stop that.
    16. PoliticalPinbacks PoliticalPinbacks, 7 years ago
Hum sorry not an easy thing to make someone do something they don't want to do, Hope he's happy when drinking a mean drunk can drag down any relationship.
Tried for years to get my sister in-law to stop she only did after she broke her neck spending the past year+ in a physical rehab center but not drinking.
Her kids found her Christmas morning 2015

Oh, he's not at all bad, trust me. He's wonderful, in fact. I met him when he was drunk, actually. LOL. If he hadn't been drunk, we'd likely not have talked, as I don't usually talk to strangers. LOL.
My mom's deceased husband died in a parking lot, drinking.

I had noted in that one, that most of the clowns were in some form of turban.
      Do you design buttons?
    20. PoliticalPinbacks PoliticalPinbacks, 7 years ago

Feel free to visit and even save the twitter account (add me if u want 2) however if you would delete my last (#20) post just so the rest of the world won't see it 4 ever.

      It turned out pretty well.
I'll check out the posts, but I don't use any social media save for here, Antique Bottles (a forum), and Skype. Well, I have a blog too, but that's different. Used to use Google+, but I hate their new format, so I left it.
      Post deleted. :)
