Dol-Trac Wind up Tractor

This is my Dol-Trac wind up tractor that was made back in the mid 1940's. The Dolecek Manufacturing Company in Oxford, Michigan made these and distributed them across the country. We have found Newspaper advertisements for them in North Carolina, Tennessee and Michigan. This wind up tractor is unique in that it can be used as a wind up model or can have a string attached and be pulled. We have found several different versions of this tractor with differences in color, tires, steering wheel and vents on the side. I have found several other surviving tractors and would love to find others. I guess I'm a little obsessive about this Tractor because it was built just a few miles from where I grew up and I knew nothing about them until I bought one.
