This fantastic vintage example of Hippie Era Embroidered Denim Skirt comes in at 39 - sounding a bit like Casey Kaseum. Superior example of the creativity you can find in a hippie embroidered textile. Our folk artist Michelle was very creative with her magnificent embellishments, including the web patterns on the denim. Created by Michelle Ferretta who lived in the San Francisco and Berkley CA area in the late 1960s / early 1970s. Michelle told me she spent many, many hours creating this - was always with her as she traveled about or was waiting for one thing or another. And yes, she visited the Haight during the era.
Proud to preserve this epic piece for posterity. Skirt dates from about 1970.
