    18th Century, Revolutionary War Era, Original Hand-Made American
    Maple Scoop. This 1700's item is carved out of one piece of wood, is
    9 1/8" long, with a great rat tail handle.

      Last night I just watched a show mysteries at the museum. They had one of these on the show and it was used for scooping up fresh churned butter.

      I have something similar to this scoop and it's about 10 inches across. It's for scooping grain, corn, etc.
