I found the glass container with what I believe is a drinking spout., there's no markings anywhere on the lass or metal lid.

Cocktail shaker?
That's what I thought too but the opening on the twist off spout is too small to let cocktails out like a regular shaker. You can drink out of the spout no problem but it's a little odd.. I can't figure it out
Yes, it's cocktail shaker. Maybe the vent tube is clogged.
