This is another recent buy at the Flea Market, a friend of mine was looking at this vase as I approached him, and he ask "R. Strong, do you know that one?" Yes! I said. "You want it?" Let me see it. I said, and he handed it to me and walked off. I looked at it and sure enough R. Strong 1974 #732, on the bottom. I asked the seller how much? "I don't know, couple bucks?" I slowly, reached for my cash, well I thought so, maybe took a half second, and gave it to him, with a thank you! Then put it in my satchel, and walked on. What a buy! :^)
The blown glass vase has a clear glass exterior, and a caramel brown swirl, interior.
It's 6" across the top, 6 1/2" high, and about 2 1/2" at the flattened base, that has a few wear scratches, around the edge, otherwise nice.
Randy Strong, is now, after 45years, in business, retired. I'll post a link to some youtube videos of his showroom, studio, and shop, in Berkeley, Calif., and Randy Strong working on some beautiful pieces of art glass.
Thank you for looking, all comments welcome! :^)
