Recently bought this at auction. It is the best I can tell, a 30's radio made by the Silverman Manufacturing Co. Of Oakland, CA. It has the name Silver Bell, but no model number. This radio has been modified previously and removed the dial in the center and the handle on the top. The only other picture I have seen, was very dark finish. I am wanting to restore it, if at all possible, but Im looking for any information, schematic or other parts radio. Thanks Larry
I tried to find a schematic for that radio but could not. No Silverman Manufacturing or Silver Bell. Interestingly, there was a banjo manufacturer by the name of Silver Bell. Anyhow, one sold on eBay a while ago. I have a photo of the front and back I can forward to you if you tell me your email address.

Great little set! This is nearly the type I collect. Mine only have the speaker and the two knobs. This one probably from around 1936 when they started putting dials on them. How many tubes does it have?
I have a picture of what this set might to have looked like at one time. I'd add it here if I could figure out how...
Thx Bobber57, the set has 4 tubes. A 80; 6D6; 76; and a 42. Same schematic as a Peter Pan 34. It had a date stamped Oct 28, 1935. Here is my Youtube video of more info on the set. Thanks again.

I know you went with the Peter Pan model 34 but it looks to me that the Packard-Bell would be closest to the original. It's the only one with the dial light circuit that would have gone with the speaker center dial.

What made me use the PP 34, instead of the PB was the Packard Bell had a 300 ohm resistor padding the volume control. The Silver Bell did not have this resistor. Other than that, they are pretty much the same.
