Measurements of this simple bowl 20 cm x 4 cm lead me to speculate on possible Scandinavian or other European origin. The polished lens like finish of this heavy piece has suffered numerous scratches to the base and a couple of flea bites to the lower rim. It's weight and lack of gripping points make it difficult to pick up , a neat but rather impractical design, yet it appealed to me immediately.
I'm looking for ideas even as to it's use, not an ashtray surely ,too small for fruit ,Olives for the Martinis maybe- Help!
