This is a 9" x 5" ruffled vase with swirl stripes. It is an oval, stands on three legs and has a ruffle around the middle with gold aventurine. The legs are applied and it has a rough pontil. It appears to be Murano and I am guessing it is an older piece as it appears a bit homely, which is probably why I love it. Unique. Makes me think of someone testing the waters with a new design.
I admit I don't know much about Murano glass but this looks more Victorian to me, maybe English? I love the pink striations and the lovely feet and rigaree!
Could be as Karen says ---- but kinda remind me of Venetian ( Murano ) art glass with the applied decoration. But see what others say. Just Beautiful !!

I am so amazed that someone's interest is piqued beside mine, I love this piece, but it isn't glamorous! Guess we are the only ones with good taste...lol! Def looks Victorian and Murano!
