I won a gift certificate to a local shop. Naturally, I searched for the oldest and most interesting (to me, anyway) items in the store. These wooden shoes are inscribed Malmo, Sweden. July 31, 1919. Upper is leather with wooden sole and heel. Put together with nails, wire and a pattern is etched on the upper to resemble buttons. I wore clogs in high school. These are not as comfortable!
