This item is about 6" across and 5" high. The yellow in the glass is throwing us for a loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have some information that would help me identify this?
    2. Deano Deano, 7 years ago
It's a Covered Butter Dish. Beyond that, we have someone here who probably knows who made it and when. Good Luck.

Thank you Deano, just throwing me off how old it is, who made it...etc. I have never seen the glass with the yellow in it like that.

It's very cool. Some sort of Slag Glass. Try holding the thinnest part of it up to a bright light to see if it is true black or purple, which is commonly used for black.

Thank you Deano! I think I found something close...I thought it was far more valuable than what I saw!

this is the #19 Memphis pattern introduced by Northwood c1907; however this seems to be a more recent reproduction, tho' not sure...

these Memphis butters are showing up in various colors not original to Northwood, as this color; but can't seem to pinpoint the maker

Thank you TallCakes for the information. Is there any way to distinguish the original glass and a reproduction glass piece?

this color if definitely a fairly recent reproduction but don't know who
