I bought this in a antique shop in the early days of collecting and paid retail for it which was 40 pounds I soon learnt to stay clear of places like that because they were to expensive I still love it.the date is about 1940s

Search for ‚‚Japanese Damascene cigarette box‚‚ and enjoy.
Not overpaid at all. Do not trust people here who boast having robbed charity shops.
Even if they did it`s indecent to gloat.
      Forty quid is fair price.

Many thanks to ivan49 for the comments. Some of the antique shop in my local area seem to make the prices up depending when you enter the shop .I do get a lot of stuff from charity shops but being on a budget I wood not been able to collecte over the years. Thanks for the lovely much appreciated
