    date unknown, I was told it was a PO rider's pouch for circuit riders delivering letters. Vintage leather, appears well taken care of. Could it be old enough to be a Pony Express letter satchel?

      Could be a military Despatch Riders Map Case - does it have any markings inside ? arrows or any numbers ?
