    Cairns helmet recently found on curb for bulk pickup, seems a sin for someone to throw this piece of history/courage out as trash. It now has a honorable place in our home.

      If anyone has any information or input about the age, etc. It would be greatly appreacited.

      Its hard to tell from your pictures, but judging from the style and materials in the helmet liner I'd say earlier than 1970's , anywhere down to the '50's.
      There is usually a date code in the center inside.
      It would be an awesome addition to our fire museum if you have plans to part with it!
