This is probably 4" tall, I would assume it's silver although it's not marked 925. The raised markings are a crown on top then maybe someone on a horse (or a Russian marking for St. Petersburg), and a standing dragon with wings. The top comes off and there is a tiny hole. People have said this is either a wax seal or a needle holder and that the markings may be military. Has anybody seen one of these before, or know what the markings are?

Nice find! A wax seal stamp, for sure. Since the seal has quite common elements, think there's a crown, a spread eagle and a griffin, it's tough to do a search. Family crest or a military seal.

OlofZ, thanks for the info! Any idea of what country it may be associated with? Do you think it's silver with the raised markings/hallmarks?
